Our name comes from the organization founded by John Hancock, John Adams, and John Bowdoin in Boston in 1780. The Academy of Arts and Sciences charter statement boasts that the "design of the institution is...to cultivate every art and science which may tend to advance the interest, honour, dignity, and happiness of a free, independent, and virtuous people."

Arts & Sciences is a production company that specializes in producing award winning advertising content, feature films, documentaries, music videos and fine art projects. Representing a diverse group of top directors and creators, Arts & Sciences was named a Creativity A-List Production Company for the past seven years in a row. Arts & Sciences work has been recognized by every major advertising award show- The Cannes Lions, The Clios, AICP Awards, D&ADs, The One Show and the Andys. Our original films have been featured in The New York Film Festival, The Toronto Film Festival, The Berlin Film Festival, SXSW and Sundance. Arts & Sciences has produced work for every major global brand including Google, Apple, Meta, Nike, Amazon, the NBA, and the NFL.

Arts & Sciences is headquartered in Los Angeles, with offices in New York and London.

The charter was written by men in wigs who ate mutton for lunch. It is more than noble and every bit unachievable. We do not wear wigs, we do not eat mutton, but we do aim to take up wild, difficult, culturally relevant tasks with their same unmasked enthusiasm.

WE ALSO WORK WITH BOTH MANIFESTWORKS AND STREETLIGHTS PROGRAMS TO PROVIDE BOTH ENTRY- LEVEL PRODUCTION JOBS AS WELL AS POTENTIAL MENTORSHIP AND APPRENTICESHIP OPPORTUNITIES. MANIFESTWORKS AND STREETLIGHTS ARE IMMERSIVE WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT AND JOB PLACEMENT ORGANIZATIONS THAT TURN REAL-WORLD EXPERIENCE INTO LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES FOR THOSE IMPACTED BY FOSTER CARE,POVERTY, HOMELESSNESS, AND INCARCERATION.

Arts & Sciences has served as a mentor and sponsor company in The Commercial Director’s Diversity Program, a joint venture between the DGA and the AICP “which is an initiative that serves to bring more diverse talent into the commercial directing industry”. Additionally, Arts & Sciences and our directors are participants and supporters of The AICP Mentoring Program, whose goal and directive is “designed to promote the growth and development of our Members and Mentees, through a one-on-one, nurturing and mutually stimulating environment.

Arts & Sciences is also a long time supporter and sponsor of Woman’s Voices Now, which “uses film to drive positive social change that advances girls’ and women’s rights globally.”
